Howdy! Welcome to Passportinsta. I’m Karishma Chawla, also known as Kush. Consider me the adventurer and creative mind behind Passportinsta – my haven for all things food, travel, and culture. With a passport stamped from over 43 countries, my blog is a reflection of my global escapades and curiosity for the finer things in life.

This curiosity started shortly after I had a license to drive. A native to the suburbs of Atlanta, I was in my 3rd year of college at Georgia Tech, feeling anxious to explore what the city of Atlanta had to offer outside of the bubble that we knew to be campus. I made it a goal to try a new restaurant in the city every time I went out to eat and share it on social media as a way to “keep me in check,” on my mission to explore what the city had to offer. Upon graduation, I accepted my first job offer to be a digital transformation consultant at IBM, which I knew nothing about, but took the role because everyone on campus said that consultants travel a lot. *Intrigue peaked*

Fast forward 10+ years, I went on to live in cities from Sao Paulo, Miami, Los Angeles, and New York City – where I’m currently based. I eventually left consulting to work at a couple of start-ups and venture into my own businesses. Today, I wear multiple hats — some know me as a blogger, marketer, entrepreneur, curator, and/or auctioneer. I know me as someone that’s passionate about life.

I’m a firm believer that life is short and we must make the most of it. Passportinsta is my way of showing you how you can do that while bringing to light the cultural richness the world has to offer. This is a community and platform where I bring travel guides, dining experiences, and some of the best in culture from around the world to you. I hope this inspires you, enlightens you, and encourages you to make that next reservation 😉
